We Need Your Support

At the Gretna Community Foundation, we make philanthropy simple, effective and personal.  We help donors turn their generosity into meaningful change by offering flexible, tax-deductible giving options that support the causes they care about most.

The Foundation allows donors to establish four basic types of funds or to give money to the Foundation’s General Fund or Crisis Assistance Fund. For more information on the benefits of setting up a fund, please contact us at info@gretnacommunityfoundation.org.

Gretna Community Foundation and its various Funds are Charitable Funds under Midlands Community Foundation (MCF). MCF handles back-office administrative services for GCF. Donation pages for GCF Funds are hosted at MCF’s website.

To keep administrative costs low and ensure more of your gift supports programs and services in the Gretna community, GCF works with MCF to securely process online donations. This collaboration allows us to focus our resources on serving the community while benefiting from the trusted financial and administrative infrastructure of Midlands Community Foundation.

Crisis Assistance Fund

Contributions to the Crisis Assistance Fund are used to support Gretna-area families and individuals who are experiencing financial hardship due to crisis or disaster events. The GCF Board does not accept direct applications for crisis assistance, but works with first responders, local churches, schools and/or non-profits to provide financial resources to individuals or families identified by these entities during times of crisis.
